Hi FIRST NAME,

Today we get to experiment with your lavender oil. There is just something very different when it comes to REAL Seed to Seal® Premium Lavender Essential Oil. This is one of the most popular oils and a great “beginner” oil.

This one is truly a must for every home. There is so much you can do with it.

As before, it is important to clarify the two different bottles of lavender oil that Young Living sells:

  • Lavender Vitality Seed to Seal® Premium Essential Oil Supplement
  • Lavender Seed to Seal® Premium Essential Oil

The classic oils and the corresponding bottles of Vitality oils contain the very same oils. However, Vitality oils are labeled for dietary use, and the classic essential oils are labeled for topical and aromatic use. The white-labeled bottles are the “Vitality” oil supplement.

Yes, you read that correctly! Here's lavender so pure that you can consume it. Your kit came with the bottle that is labeled as the classic version.

Your kit came with the Lavender essential oil.

Consider this...

Most essential oils you can buy are only “perfume grade,” which means they should only be used in aromatherapy. Many are not even supposed to touch your skin!

Lavender is one of the most popular in this “perfume” category. You'll see “lavender” this, that, and the other on the shelves of your favorite stores.

But don't be fooled because it is nearly 100% sure there is not much––if any––natural lavender plant in that product. If you are not familiar with Young Living's quality difference, please take a moment and look at the Seed To Seal Promise.

Try this first...

Get out your peppermint, lemon, and lavender and open them all.

Now, go ahead and put a drop of your lavender in your palm and rub your palms together. Now cup your hands over your nose and mouth and breathe deeply. Do you see how it smells different than the “perfume-grade” lavender you smell in stores?

Now, go ahead and add one drop of lemon and one drop of peppermint to your palm and rub them together again. Cup your hands again and breathe it in. That formula always helps me when I have sniffles or itchy eyes going on.

There are thousands of ways you can use Young Living's Seed to Seal® Premium Lavender essential oil and the dietary supplement, Lavender Vitality!

Here are just a few.

DIY Lotion Bar

From Young Living's blog:

This is not your average moisturizer, because this DIY lotion bar uses the warmth of your body to melt natural emollients and essential oils into the skin to smooth, moisturize and hydrate dry hands, heels, elbows, and more.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup extra-virgin coconut oil
  • ½ cup beeswax
  • ¼ cup shea butter
  • ¼ cup cocoa butter
  • 15–20 drops essential oil of your choice (we recommend 10 drops of Lavender essential oil and 10 drops of Lemon essential oil)
  • Optional: dried lavender and lemon zest for exfoliation.

Materials

  • 16-ounce measuring cup
  • Medium-sized saucepan
  • Silicone molds or muffin tin

Directions

  1. Combine coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, and cocoa butter in a 16-ounce glass measuring cup.
  2. Place in a pot with water that rises to halfway up the measuring cup
  3. Bring water to a boil, stirring frequently until ingredients are completely melted.
  4. Remove measuring cup from the pot.
  5. Add dried lavender and lemon zest, if desired.
  6. Add essential oils and stir until completely combined.
  7. Immediately pour into molds.
  8. Let sit overnight.
  9. Once cooled, remove the lotion from the molds.
  10. Store in a cool, dry place.

With a rich base of coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter, this homemade lotion bar recipe has a smooth and rich consistency. We honestly can’t get enough of the clean and fresh lavender-lemon combo we tried, but feel free to get inspired and create your own essential oil blend!

  • Young Living has three farms that grow lavender, located in Utah, Idaho, and France.
  • Lavender is part of the mint family.
  • It takes 27 square feet of lavender plants to make one 15-ml bottle of lavender oil.
  • In ancient Greece, Pedanius Dioscorides––a physician, pharmacologist, and botanist––extolled the many qualities and uses of lavender.

Lavender is amazing...

I'll end this with a suggestion to look up lavender in the book that I recommended - “Essential Oils Desk Reference”. If you haven't obtained a copy of this, then a Google or DuckDuckGo images search for “Young Living lavender essential oil uses” will reveal a lot more about the use of Young Living's pure lavender oil.

This favorite oil is HIGHLY versatile. From skincare products to relaxing routines, this oil can infuse many areas of your life. As a matter of fact, you'll find lavender oil in Young Living blends such as Stress Away™, Harmony™ and Tranquil™.

Does that give you a clue about the benefits?

Happy oiling (as we say) until our next email. Please remember you can reach out to me any time if you have questions. I'd love to help.
