Here's a little information about the "final straw" that occurred in my life which brought me into contact with Young Living products.

During the summer of 2012, while on vacation, I slipped and fell down 2 steps at the Air & Space Museum in Washington, D.C. I thought I broke my foot. It would have been better if I did. Instead, I sustained injuries to the tendons, ligaments and nerves in my foot and calf. When I went to the doctor, I was told there wasn’t much they could do since it wasn’t broken. They prescribed a “boot” which held my foot and calf still, like a walking cast. That did help a little, especially with stability. As far as the pain & inflammation, I was given 2 prescriptions and was told that if I wanted to permanently eliminate the pain/pins & needles feeling I was experiencing, they could deaden the nerve pathways, but that would leave me with a completely numb foot. I chose to learn to live with the pain and swelling.

During the summer of 2014, I sustained an injury that required me to undergo a spinal fusion surgery. As you can imagine, this was a devastating circumstance and a major life hurdle, and I was concerned about such an invasive procedure. However, I was in too much pain and losing function in my extremities to have that condition go on any longer, so I elected to have the surgery. Before the surgery, I was experiencing debilitating pain & numbness at the same time (like my foot) in my neck, back, shoulders & upper arms and tingling in my fingers.

After that surgery, I was told that it would take many years for the pain to go away completely. I completed all the required physical therapy and was taking prescriptions for pain and neuropathy. As I was lying in bed recovering one day, I thought about how I got to where I was. How did this happen? What do I do now? Am I to live the rest of my life in pain? That’s when I decided if I was going to heal from these injuries, I may as well heal my entire being. This is when I went on my quest for a much higher state of overall wellness and through my research, decided that Young Living Essential Oils would be an excellent addition to the regime that would get me healthy and keep me healthy *& feeling good again!

Young Living has an entire wellness platform that not only includes the essential oils I used to help with my conditions, but also nutritional supplements, cleanses, home cleaning products, bath & body products, nutritional products and even cookware! I even found products for my son and my dogs! I am a trained scientist in biology & chemistry and I was so happy to find that Young Living had the quality, processes and products I was looking for.

I am happy to say that I have experienced significant results from incorporating many of these wonderful products into my everyday life. I feel much better in a much shorter time than was predicted by my medical team based on my pre-surgical condition & just recovering from the procedure. Not only is the pain and inflammation I was experiencing much less, I have also regained almost 100% of my mobility & range of motion back! I love to play the drums! Playing all types of musical instruments has been a part of my life since I was 1 year old. Not being able to play Freewill or La Villa Strangiato (Rush fan!) was much harder than learning to play them again as I was able. Needless to say, I had plenty of motivation to recover and I’m very glad I was able to count on the Young Living products to help me, along with other modalities and treatments, get back to myself.
