Signing up for a kit and joining a team with Young Living is a very exciting time! Everything is new and there is so much to explore! I will never forget the first time that I smelled Young Living's Lavender essential oil. It was like no other lavender product I had smelled before. Young Living has incredibly high standards and controls each step of the process when creating essential oils. Check out Seed to Seal for more information on that. The scented products that are sold in stores usually smell nothing like the real plant. That really opened my eyes to the purity of ingredients in products that I was using in my home. 

I remember starting out and having no clue what I was doing. There was so much to learn that sometimes it seemed overwhelming. My upline gifted me a reference guide, which was a God-send. It was filled with information about specific concerns and which oils to try. Now, I use an app on my phone so I always have the information at my fingertips. I would definitely recommend getting some kind of reference material. Education is so important, especially when you are first starting out. Our team hosts monthly classes for education on the products and tips for oily living.

Once you begin integrating essential oils into your everyday life, you will want to make using them easier. You may start to learn some new ways to use certain oils. Peppermint, for example, can be used for head tension, concentration, cooling, and digestive issues. I would definitely recommend purchasing some ingredients and containers to make DIY recipes.
