Discovering new ways to incorporate these flavors into our traditional recipes is so easy once you have the key to swapping out dried or fresh herbs, seasonings, and spices for Vitality™ Oils.

A good rule of thumb is 1 teaspoon = 1 drop of Vitality™ Oil. However, there are exceptions to that, particularly with oils whose flavor profile is more intense such as Cinnamon Bark, Peppermint, and Oregano to name a few. As with any other ingredient, it's always easier to add less and then increase the amount to taste.

PRO TIP:

Start with a toothpick swirl (ts). Insert the tip of the toothpick into the air hole in the center of the bottle and slowly tip the bottle to its side to just coat the tip in Vitality™ oil. Swirl the toothpick into the recipe, taste, and repeat with a clean toothpick if more flavor is desired.

Many prefer adding 1 drop of Vitality™ oil into 1 Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and adding a small amount into the recipe. A great way to do this is with a dropper bottle.

Let's talk about price.

It's easy to see how little Vitality™ is used when compared to dried herbs and seasonings. For our price comparison, we picked a product from Amazon since it is a household name, - organic Rosemary Leaf, Fancy Grade. An 0.85-ounce bottle is $4.69.  It contains approximately 7 Tablespoons of dried Rosemary leaves, which ends up being 67¢ per Tablespoon.

According to our conversion chart above, 4 drops of Rosemary Vitality™ essential oil is equal to 1 Tablespoon. An entire bottle of Rosemary Vitality™ oil containing 90 - 100 drops costs only $7.75 for members, equaling just 8¢ per drop or a total of 32¢ for a 'tablespoon' worth of Rosemary. That's more than a 50% savings! And guess what? You can keep using the same bottle of oil for 25 more dishes (based on Tablespoons) and still get great flavor and freshness every time!

One of the best things about cooking with oils is that they never go out of season and an authentic essential oil should never have a best by date or expiration date.  You could be in the dead of winter and still whip up a dish that tastes as fresh as spring!
