***UPDATE:  4 months later, and I have to say that I really love these underwear for one specific reason- their moisture-wicking properties.  I play pickleball and these are the BEST underwear I've worn that keeps me feeling dry and fresh when playing.  They are a little baggy so I sized down my next order, but overall, they are fantastic at keeping me dry and comfortable.

When I heard about WAMA underwear made from hemp fiber, I had to try it.  I'm a huge fan of fabrics made with natural fibers for many reasons, including the absorption and wicking of moisture which is very important to me.  Here is my completely honest review of WAMA brand underwear.  I received these free in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.

Is it Legit? I am sharing this ad that WAMA posted on their Instagram account because I wanted to find out for myself if it lives up to its claims.  I am happy to report that after wearing and washing these for 1 month, I can say that YES these keep me dry all day, they do get softer with washing, the materials are natural, and they seem well made and look like they will hold up well. 

I ordered a pair of High Waisted Underwear and a pair of Boy Shorts.  Both in a size Large.  I am in-between sizes Medium and Large but it was recommended that I size up.  At first, I regretted buying a large because they felt a bit too baggy on me, but after a few washes, they fit correctly and comfortably. 

-Please note, the High Waist is a bit cheeky.  These are not full coverage across the back like a brief, so if you prefer full coverage, go with the boy shorts.

FIT: The boy shorts appear to be larger cut than the high waist, but they feel almost the same size when wearing them. I personally found the high waist to feel larger across the bum over the boy shorts.  I personally would order (next time) a medium in the high waist and a large in the boy shorts. The high waist has a generous amount of fabric across the backside so it gave me wedgies. After I dried them in high heat a few times, they shrunk a little and made wearing them more comfortable. 

The feel of the Fabric:  Because it's made with hemp fiber which tends to be a rougher (durable) fiber, I wasn't sure how these would feel.  My first time wearing them, I found them to be a little itchy/scratchy.  After washing them once, they were definitely softer.  After washing them 2 times, I wore them without even noticing the fabric- they felt soft and comfortable.  They get softer with washing. 

The fabric is also thick and durable.  This is a very sturdy and well-made pair of underwear!

Quality:  They are well made, nice quality elastic waistbands, and the underwear is sewn smoothly.  Overall the quality is evident.

WAMA also makes a line of bralettes.  I ordered the XL based on my cup size as shown in the chart, but it is too large in the cup area and doesn't fit me correctly as a result.  In this situation, I should have sized down. My recommendation is to size down if you are smaller busted with a wider width, and if you are larger busted with a smaller width, you may need to size up.  

Pros: well made with adjustable straps, hook and eye closure, nice stretchy band, comfortable.

Cons: sizing can be improved based on bust/width ratio, no padding in the bra, and limited support if you are larger busted and need support.
