My Supplement Routine
I love essential oils, but I'm really a supplements girl, Alll Dayyy LOOOnnng. Young Living® makes some of the best supplements on the market. D. Gary Young was the first person to ever infuse his herbal and nutritional supplements with therapeutic-grade essential oils. By doing this, he increased the assimilation (the rate at which the body used what it was given) from 10% to up to 80%. Those supplements you find in the stores only absorb 1-3%. Kind of a waste if you ask me. 
 
All of Young Living's supplements are made from synergistic formulations of whole foods, so your body knows what to do with what you are giving it. The body does not recognize most synthetic forms of vitamins, hence the low rate of absorption. 
 
The essential oils in each supplement provide a streamlined fast route of delivery right to the cell where it is needed, and are what sets Young Living® above even the highest quality whole-food supplements around. Nobody has the power of our oils. 
 
Many ask about my daily supplement routine, but it actually changes based on my monthly Zyto Wellness Scans, so it's hard to pin down ONE supplement routine that I follow.
 
My all-the-time dailies include Ningxia Red®, Life 9™, OmegaGize™, some form of multivitamin, enzymes, and then targeted nutrition as my day calls for.
 
Most days, like 6 days a week, I have what I call a Power Shake for breakfast. It includes 2 scoops Balance Complete™, 1 Scoop chocolate Pure Protein Complete™, 2 squirts Mineral Essence™, in about 6 or 8 oz Dark Chocolate Almond Milk. It is my guiltless indulgence that starts my day off golden! 
 
Balance Complete™ is a whole-food, nutrient-dense meal replacement mix, so I get a good dose of nutrition with it. By adding the Pure Protein powder, it gives me a good amount of usable, healthy protein that also helps keep me full longer than Balance Complete™ alone. My muscles are finicky, so they really miss when I don't get enough Pure Protein, despite the large amounts of meat we eat. It's not the same quality of usable protein. 
 
The Mineral Essence™ is also part of my daily "multivitamin" category. It is an organic ionic mineral complex with more than 60 different minerals. It has a natural electrolyte balance to it. Minerals are necessary for proper immune and metabolic functions. The essential oils that Mineral Essence™ is infused with enhance the bioavailability of the minerals, which makes Mineral Essence™ far superior to other mineral products.
 
The high fiber content of my morning shake will make me thirsty, so I follow it with a full pint of water. This is when I take my OmegaGize, fish oil supplement that provides Omega 3's, DHA, Co-enzyme Q10, and a fair amount of vitamin D3. At this time I will also take BLM™. It stands for Bone Ligaments and Muscle. As I said, my muscles are finicky. When I stop taking BLM™, I get charlie horses in my neck or calves. My joints also crack so loud, they have woke the baby up. Yeah, BLM™ helps this too. My husband takes BLM™ because his knees feel good when he does. BLM™ has Wintergreen essential oil. Wintergreen has a high percentage of natural methyl salicylate which supports normal inflammatory response in the body. Unlike synthetic methyl salicylate that is in OTCs, wintergreen won't harm your liver or cause ulcers. 
 
I typically take Master Formula™ multivitamin with my lunch, but lately I've been on a FemiGen™ kick. Bottle label says take this in the morning, so I do, or whenever I remember to. I switched to FemiGen™ because it frequently comes up on my Zyto Wellness Scans, and I was finally ready to make the switch when I was ready for my cycles to return after having my third baby so I could naturally track my fertility easier (about 10 months postpartum). My cycles returned like clockwork by the end of the first bottle of FemiGen™. 
 
With everything going on lately, I decided to make Super C™ capsules part of my daily routine. Super C™ gives me an extra boost of Vitamin C, Zinc, and other nutrients to keep me in good health. You can read more on it here
 
I drink lots of water throughout my day, so whenever I get a drink, I also take a supplement. This allows me to spread them out throughout my day without taking handfuls of pills at one time. I'm only good for taking 2-4 pills at a time, so spacing them out is how I get them down.
 
I get my NingXia Red® throughout my day. I mix 2 oz in some sparkling fizzy water and add a citrus oil like Lime Vitality™. I also get it in the Red Drink recipe which is how I get my Sulfurzyme™ in too. By using the Sulfurzyme™ Powder in this way instead of just taking the capsules, I can eliminate 4 pills from my day. I make sure I get at least one form of digestive enzymes in my day. You can read about one of my favorite enzyme supplements here.
 
On days I need an extra boost of energy or clarity of mind for focus, I drink a tube of Ningxia Nitro™. It's like a 5-hour energy but better. It's also full of brain food so helps with cognitive fitness. And since it is made from real whole food ingredients, there is no crash when it wears off, and no added sugars, dyes or artificial anything...ever.
 
Before bed I take the world's best probiotic. Gut health is the core foundation to a strong immune system, mental/emotional balance, and whole-body wellness. Taking Life 9™ before bed allows it time to colonize in the gut better without getting flushed out by our daily food and drink.

It may seem like a lot, but when you give your body the tools it needs to function, it can do great things. I feel so good when I stay on top of my supplements, and I can tell when I slack on any of these, which tells me my body needs them and they are working.
