Did you know that your furry friends can also benefit from the power of essential oils? They definitely can!  Walk with me through some how-tos and tips for sharing oils with your favorite pets.

I had a pomeranian (Lacy) when I first started using the oils.  She didn’t mind them at all, and I was not selective in the oils I used around her.  When thunderstorms blew through, she became very anxious.  Even if I tried to hold her, she would try to get away from me.  I learned that putting Valor Essential Oil on my hands and petting her would help calm her.  I would hold my hands on her chest until I felt her heart calming.

This is a good rule of thumb, but all pets just like humans are different.  Gary Young always said, “Start low and go slow”.  Just watch how your pet reacts to the oils and adjust as needed.

Again, I diffused everything around Lacy and it didn’t bother her.  However, know your pet and observe them when diffusing.  Be sure to give them the opportunity to leave a room if the diffused oil is too strong for them.  

Here is a picture of Lacy.  I was on my way home after doing a Young Living class.  I had put her in the back seat, on the opposite side of the car from this bag.  When I came to a stop, I looked back to check on her, and she had crawled into this bag.  The bag she is sitting in has my class material, as well as all the essential oils that I used for the class.  Yep.  She loved them!

Gary Young LOVED his pets so he created an Animal Scents line specifically for them (although we humans sneak them and use them ourselves occasionally!).  

This is one that we all use in our family!  Such an amazing moisturizer for those dry, chapped hands that we get from time to time, especially working hard in the yard.  Or any area that needs a good dose of moisturizer!  I also used it on my mom when she developed a bed sore!  Worked wonders!  Note:  you can add additional essential oils as needed to support your particular need.
