Support Detox & Cleansing Symptoms with Enzymes
The world of enzymes can be a complex one. Some experts refer to enzymes as "the key to life" because enzymes are responsible for every chemical reaction that happens. Life cannot occur without them! Enzymes control the body's vital metabolic processes. There are specific enzymes for each chemical reaction needed to make each individual cell work properly.  Enzymes turn our food into useable energy and facilitate the use of this energy.  Enzymes enable us to move, think, see, hear, and feel.  Without digestive enzymes, our food sits in the gut and rots, creating an abundance of problems like IBS, diverticulitis, and much more.  Metabolic enzymes are produced in organs like the pancreas, gallbladder, and liver.  They help the body with detoxification and the production of energy, and help run all body systems.

Some enzymes are present in the foods we eat; others are made by the body. Enzymes are very easily destroyed or deactivated by heat, radiation, pH levels, etc. The likelihood that you are getting enough enzymes through diet is pretty slim.

When the diet is supplemented with digestive enzymes it gives the body a break from having to make its own enzymes, leaving it less stressed and able to take care of other things. 

Sometimes when we upgrade our eating habits, go through a cleansing protocol, or even just simply start using essential oils for the first time, we can experience "detox symptoms" like headache, nausea, fatigue. This is due to the body releasing stored toxins, which is the point of doing a cleanse or using an essential oil, so it is a good thing. But it's not always pleasant, and you need to have the right tools in place to gather all the newly released toxins up and flush them out of the body so they don't re-deposit themselves into organs and tissue.

Drinking plenty of clean, filtered water is going to be your main tool to flush toxins, and there are many other things to support this process, such as MSM, but today's blog is about using enzymes to help digest toxins and feed the body, giving it the proper tools to release and flush the toxins as efficiently as possible.

One of the best enzyme complex supplements for supporting detox symptoms is Detoxzyme™.

Detoxzyme™ contains bee pollen which is important for enzyme development and performance, as well as many other health benefits. Detoxzyme™ is a vegetable-based enzyme formula. It is derived from whole foods, and can be helpful in breaking down sugars, fats, proteins, and starches, and aid the body in the elimination of toxic chemicals and waste. Detoxzyme™ can be taken more heavily during a cleanse or detox program, but 2 capsules before bed is a good maintenance routine.

At night the body goes through the metabolic process of digestion and assimilation, and the liver detoxifies and dumps its sludge into the colon. Amylase-Digests simple carbs (sugars, fruits, vegetables, all things sweet and sugary). 

 Bromelain- Digests proteins.  

Cellulase-digests cellulose fiber, and aids in malabsorption. 

Invertase- liquefies sugars. 

Lactase-digests lactose. 

Lipase- Digests fats. 

Phytase- breaks down indigestible forms of phosphorus found in grains and oils seeds, releasing digestible phosphorus, calcium, and other nutrients.

Protease- digests proteins (meats, nuts, eggs, cheese/dairy). 

Detoxzyme™ will help soothe the gut and offer relief from feelings of fullness, gas, bloating, and general stomach discomfort.

It is typically taken before bed, but taking it any time of day is better than not taking it at all. It'll digest garbage anytime of day, it just won't offer targeted support to the liver's flushing process at night unless you take it before bed.
